Sweet Mango Memories is a mango-nificent creation of sweet cream ice cream, with mango swirls and white ampersand chunks. What’s even sweeter, this fruity flavour was co-created with 13 refugee entrepreneurs, influenced by the tastes and aromas of happy memories and joyful moments in their lives. The food we eat (or the ice cream we enjoy together) can link us to memories of the times, places, and experiences we’ve shared. Sweet Mango Memories brings the taste and smells associated with some of the happiest memories and joyful events of the refugee co-creator’s lives to our spoons. Right now, more than 100 million people worldwide have been forcibly displaced from their homes — more than at any other point in history. People are fleeing the effects of climate change, poverty, violence, and war. We recognise that people who are refugees are often some of the most entrepreneurial, and that entrepreneurship can help people to rebuild their lives. That’s why Ben & Jerry's Flavour Gurus have once again teamed up with 13 entrepreneurs with refugee backgrounds, alongside allies from The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network (TERN), the migrant entrepreneur community, and retail experts from Co-op to co-create another fruity flavour with a mission.
