BAKED CAMEMBERT
This impressive Baked Camembert is utterly delicious and insanely addictive! Don’t forget to serve it with some fresh crusty bread. But be warned: it doesn’t like to hang around, so you might just end up eating it all in one go!
INGREDIENTS
Serves 2-4
• 1 French stick
• 1 Wheel of Camembert (250g)
• 1 Small clove of Garlic
• Sprig of Fresh Rosemary
• Spring of Fresh Thyme
• 1 Tbsp Honey
• Chilli Flakes
• Olive Oil
• Salt & Pepper
• Grapes to serve
Options: Serve with chutney, a crisp Chardonnay or Riesling wine. For a meal, add crudités, charcuterie, cornichons, and your favourite olives.
STEPS

Preheat your oven to 180°C Fan.

Slice your bread and place on a tray, drizzle with olive oil and season well. Set aside.

Remove the outer packaging from the cheese and place the wheel of Camembert in a small baking dish or keep it in its wooden box (if available) and place on a baking dish.

Using a sharp knife, make shallow cuts in the top of the cheese and insert the sliced garlic into the cuts. Add the sprigs of rosemary and thyme on top. Drizzle the cheese with olive oil and honey. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and chilli flakes to taste.

Bake in the preheated oven along with the bread for about 12-14 minutes, or until the cheese is gooey and melted inside.

Remove the baked Camembert from the oven and let it cool slightly.

Serve warm with slices of a crusty toasted French stick and grapes on the side. Enjoy!
