Home Run Inn Pizza
In 1923, the original Home Run Inn storefront opened on Chicago’s South Side. Founders Mary and Vincent Grittani took over in 1947, giving the Inn its name after a baseball from the neighborhood park smashed through one of their windows—a home run!
At the time, they served pizza as a snack to customers enjoying the tavern’s cold beers. In the 1960s, a long-time customer requested that the Inn make him par-baked pizzas to bring home to his ice box in Wisconsin, and the Home Run Inn frozen pizza business was born.
The Home Run Inn pizza recipe is filled with all-natural, high-quality ingredients and hasn’t changed since 1947! Chicagoans can now order this local staple with Gopuff. Order here.
