Gopuff is committed to impact-based giving to support the many communities where we operate — thinking big, moving fast, and showing up locally in the ways that matter most to the people we serve. With the central goal of fighting food insecurity, we are proud to have made an impact on many of our communities in 2024 and look forward to continuing this mission in the new year.

Combating Food Insecurity & Reducing Food Waste

Throughout the year, employees in Gopuff’s micro-fulfillment centers work with partner food banks in the Feeding America® network to regularly donate groceries to people facing hunger. As a result of this partnership, Gopuff donated 1,117,929 pounds of food via Feeding America partner food banks in 2024 and, since 2022, Gopuff has contributed more than 3.7 million pounds of food through Feeding America’s food waste reduction program.

In our hometown of Philadelphia, Gopuff also donated food, essentials and home goods to the Lutheran Settlement House, provided cat litter, water and food to the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), and provided water, snacks and essentials to the March of Dimes in support of a local community baby shower event. We also worked with our headquarters’ local neighborhood association to donate toys to local families for Christmas and sponsored the group’s first-ever Fall Festival curated to highlight local businesses in the area.

Elsewhere across the country, Gopuff gave out breakfast sandwiches to individuals in need in NYC and in Atlanta, we donated canned and boxed items for Thanksgiving baskets to the local community association. In Washington state, Gopuff donated technology and office supplies including computer monitors to the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County.

Additionally, and in an effort to further our commitment to fighting food insecurity, Gopuff joined the White House Challenge to End Hunger in February. At the challenge, Gopuff committed to donating 10 million pounds of food to communities facing hunger in the coming years, accepting SNAP benefits, and more. Delivering on one of those commitments, Gopuff began accepting SNAP payments this year, becoming the first instant commerce company to do so. Given that one in five SNAP recipients has a disability, many serve as primary caregivers for more than nine hours per week, and many more live in food deserts with limited transportation options, Gopuff is uniquely positioned to help improve food access for millions of SNAP-eligible Americans.

Being There For Our Communities When Disaster Strikes

The need for food and essentials often becomes critical when disaster strikes. With the ability to be there when it matters most, Gopuff took swift action to support its communities In the wake of Hurricane Milton’s devastating impact on Florida. We launched an in-app donation tool called “Give With Gopuff” in a matter of days, enabling customers across the country to send everyday essentials like water, toilet paper, first aid, non-perishable food, pet food, diapers and more to those affected by the storm — with all donations matched by Gopuff.

As a result of the campaign, Gopuff transported seven truckloads of product to the Volunteer Florida Foundation’s Disaster Relief Receiving Center in Ocala. Those trucks were carrying: 135,572 bottles of water, 50,775 trash bags and resealable bags, 23,169 diapers, 16,338 snacks, such as trail mix, beef jerky, granola bars and much, much more, totaling over $275,000.
