As THE pioneer Yamhill-Carlton AVA vineyard, Shea has been a consistent source of some of the finest wine grapes grown in the Willamette Valley since Dick and Diedre Shea planted 100 acres of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in 1989. Preserving a small percentage of fruit for themselves, Shea also supplies Raptor Ridge, Penner-Ash, Ken Wright, Beaux Freres, Ancien, St. Innocent, Winderlea, and many other excellent producers in Oregon and California. Winner of numerous federal awards for environmentally friendly farming. "... one of the greatest vineyards in the Willamette, and a vineyard that, were this Burgundy centuries ago, would have probably been deemed a Grand Cru."
