Gopuff steak and fries meal with fresh lettuce cups, cucumber, and tomato salad.
Ingredients
Steak - Your Choice (Ribeye, Bavette or Onglet)Oven FriesGem LettuceBaby Plum TomatoesOnion or Shallots
CucumberButterHigh Smoke Point Oil (Rapeseed or Sunflower Oil)Salt & Pepper
Instructions
1
Remove steak from its packaging and season with a healthy amount of salt. Allow to sit at room temperature.
2
Place your oven fries in a preheated oven and cook for the instructed time.
3
Finely chop your tomatoes, cucumber and shallots/onion. Remove each piece of gem lettuce and wash thoroughly. Once washed, create your salad by layering gem lettuce, dressing and your toppings.
4
Preheat a pan and pour in a small splash of oil. Depending on the type of steak and your preferred doneness, cooking times will vary. See below steps for guidelines.
Here are some rough doneness guidelines: Ribeye of this thickness will be medium rare in 2.5-3.5 minutes a side Bavette will be the rare/medium-rare in 1.5 minutes a side Onglet will be rare/medium-rare in 1 minute a side (accounting for more than 2 sides)
5
For most accurate temperature control, it is best to use a meat thermometer and cook the steaks until they reach an internal temperature that lines up with your desired doneness.
6
Once finished cooking, allow the steaks to rest for up to 10 minutes. Cut into thin stripes and finish with some salt.
7
Plate with your oven chips, salad and enjoy!
