Orphan Barrel Latverian Cask is a limited-release 20-year-old American Light Whiskey inspired by Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Doomsday," in theaters December 18. Named for Latveria, the fictional nation seen in the film, the release features original bottle artwork by acclaimed Marvel artist Rod Reis. Made from a nearly 100% corn mash bill and distilled in Indiana at approximately 189 proof, the whiskey matured for at least 20 years in previously used oak barrels, primarily in Kentucky with other barrels aged in Indiana. The first American Light Whiskey from Orphan Barrel, it offers notes of caramel and sweet vanilla on the nose, honey, butterscotch, orange peel and oak on the palate, and a warm finish of creamy vanilla and dried fruit. Bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV) in strictly limited quantities, this once-only release offers a collectible for adult Marvel fans drawn to discovery and lore. Enjoy neat or over a small ice cube.
